Government, private, deemed, and abroad โ€” see real seats, real fees, and real cutoffs before you fill a single choice.

Choosing a medical college is a five-and-a-half-year decision, not a one-round decision. NEET UG Predictor lists colleges across every counselling route in India plus NMC-recognised universities abroad โ€” with the numbers that actually matter: total seats by quota, last three years of closing ranks, verified fee structures, hostel and bond conditions, and recognition status. No brochure language. Just what you'd want to know before locking a choice.

Government Medical Colleges (India)

The most sought-after seats in the country, and for good reason: annual fees typically range from โ‚น15,000 to โ‚น1.5 lakh, clinical exposure is strong in high-patient-load hospitals, and the degree carries weight in PG counselling. Competition is intense โ€” cutoffs for general category seats in top government colleges routinely close within the first few thousand ranks. Reserved categories, state domicile quotas, and special quotas (like Tamil Nadu's 7.5% government school quota) open doors at higher ranks than most aspirants realise.

Check before choosing: state bond obligations (some states require 1โ€“10 years of service or a penalty), stipend during internship, and whether the college is new โ€” first-batch colleges can have infrastructure gaps but easier cutoffs.

Private & Deemed Universities

When your rank falls short of a government seat, private and deemed universities are the mainstream alternative. Fees range from roughly โ‚น5 lakh to โ‚น30 lakh per year depending on the quota โ€” government-quota seats in private colleges (allocated through state counselling) are dramatically cheaper than management or NRI seats in the same college. Deemed universities are counselled centrally by MCC, so your All India Rank matters, not your state rank.

Check before choosing: the exact quota your seat falls under (the fee difference between government quota and management quota in the same college can be 5โ€“10x), total cost including hostel over 5.5 years, and NMC seat recognition for the current year.

MBBS Abroad

For students with a qualifying NEET score but a rank outside the range for affordable Indian seats, studying abroad is a legitimate route โ€” if done correctly. NMC's FMG regulations require your university to meet specific criteria: 54-month course, internship, language of instruction, and registration eligibility in that country. We only list universities that meet these criteria, across destinations including Georgia, Uzbekistan, Nepal, Egypt, and Saint Lucia. Total program costs typically run โ‚น20โ€“40 lakh โ€” often less than a management-quota seat in India.

Check before choosing: FMGE/NExT pass rates of Indian graduates from that university, WDOMS listing with ECFMG sponsorship (essential for the US pathway), and climate, food, and safety for a 5โ€“6 year stay.

Service questions, answered

Can I upgrade from one package to another mid-season?
Yes. Pay only the difference โ€” for example, upgrade from Choice Filling (โ‚น4,999) to Counselling Assistance (โ‚น9,999) by paying โ‚น5,000. Upgrades are honoured any time before the final round.
What if counselling gets postponed or extended?
Your package covers the entire counselling season, however long it runs โ€” including officially extended mop-up and stray vacancy rounds.
Do you guarantee a seat?
No honest counsellor can guarantee a government seat โ€” allotment depends on your rank and seat availability. What we guarantee is that you will not lose a seat you were eligible for because of a strategy mistake, a missed deadline, or a documentation error.
How do payments work?
Full payment on enrolment via UPI or bank transfer. You'll receive a receipt immediately.

Counselling Strategy

Choice filling strategy: order your colleges the smart way

Two students with the same rank and category can end up in colleges 200 ranks apart in quality โ€” purely because of how they ordered their choice list. The algorithm allots the first choice your rank can reach; it never skips ahead to a "better fit." Why you should list dream colleges at the top, the Safe/Target/Dream ratio that works, and the private-college placement mistake that costs families lakhs.

Government vs private vs abroad: the true cost of MBBS

Is MBBS abroad right for you? A 5-question checklist

MBBS abroad is neither the scam some claim nor the shortcut agents sell. Before you look at a single brochure, answer honestly: Can you clear FMGE-level exams with self-discipline? The upgradation trap: when to hold your seat and when to risk it

You've been allotted a decent seat in Round 1. Round 2 could get you something better โ€” or cost you what you have. Families get this call wrong in both directions. NEET rank vs marks: what actually predicts your college

"I got 550 marks โ€” which college will I get?" is the most common question we hear, and it's unanswerable as asked. The same marks can map to ranks tens of thousands apart in different years. A parent's guide to counselling season

Counselling is a family project, but the division of labour matters. FMGE pass rates by country: reading the data honestly

FMGE pass rates are the best filter for choosing a university abroad โ€” and the most manipulated statistic in agents' marketing. General counselling

How accurate is a college predictor?
A predictor built on real closing-rank data gives you a reliable range, not a certainty. Ours uses a weighted average of the last three years' closing ranks (most recent year weighted highest) and classifies every college as Safe, Target or Dream for your rank. Cutoffs shift every round with seat matrix changes and candidate behaviour, so treat the output as a strategy map โ€” the colleges to research and the order to consider โ€” not a promise.
Can I participate in both MCC and state counselling at the same time?
Yes, and in most cases you should register for both. The 15% All India Quota (plus deemed and central universities) is counselled by MCC; the 85% state quota is counselled by your state authority. They run as separate processes. The interaction rules โ€” whether holding a seat in one blocks the other โ€” depend on the round and the current year's rules, so check the specific round's conditions before accepting any seat.
What is the difference between AIQ, state quota, deemed, and management quota?
AIQ (All India Quota) is 15% of government college seats, open to candidates from any state, counselled by MCC. State quota is the remaining 85%, generally requiring domicile in that state. Deemed universities are private institutions counselled centrally by MCC at their own fee structures. Management quota is a portion of private college seats at higher fees. Same college, different quota, wildly different fee โ€” always check which quota a seat belongs to.
My rank is X. Will I get a government seat?
It depends on your category, your state, and which quotas you're eligible for โ€” the same rank can mean a comfortable government seat in one state and no chance in another. Run your details through the predictor for a realistic picture, and remember special quotas (rural, government school, minority, ward quotas depending on state) that many eligible students never claim.
What happens if I don't get any seat this year?
You have real options: mop-up and stray vacancy rounds (where cutoffs drop significantly), a drop year with a stronger NEET attempt, MBBS abroad at an NMC-recognised university, or allied fields like BDS, BAMS, veterinary science, or B.Sc. nursing. The right answer depends on your score trajectory, budget, and how certain you are about medicine โ€” exactly what a free counselling call is for.

Fees & documents

What documents do I need for counselling?
Core set: NEET admit card and scorecard, class 10 and 12 marksheets and certificates, ID proof, and passport photos. Category candidates: community/caste certificate in the state-prescribed format, plus income certificate where applicable (OBC-NCL, EWS). State quota: nativity/domicile certificate. Special quotas need their own proofs. Formats and validity periods differ by state โ€” this is the single most common place families slip up.
Are counselling fees refundable?
Registration fees are generally non-refundable. Security deposits are refundable if you follow the exit rules โ€” exiting in a free-exit window returns the deposit; exiting after the forfeiture cutoff or abandoning an allotted seat does not. The rules change by round and by counselling authority, so confirm before every accept/reject decision.
Can I get an education loan for a private medical college?
Yes โ€” banks routinely finance MBBS at recognised private and deemed colleges, typically covering tuition and hostel, with collateral for larger amounts. Public banks offer better rates; NBFC loans are faster but costlier. For MBBS abroad, loans are available for recognised universities but collateral requirements are stricter. Start the loan process before counselling, not after allotment โ€” sanction takes weeks and admission deadlines don't wait.

MBBS abroad

Is a foreign MBBS degree valid in India?
Yes, provided two things: the university and course meet NMC's FMG regulations (54-month duration, internship, medium of instruction, licence eligibility in that country), and you clear the FMGE (or NExT, when implemented) after returning. Graduates who tick both boxes register and practise in India exactly like Indian graduates. Universities that don't meet the FMG criteria produce degrees that are effectively useless in India โ€” verification before admission is everything.
Which country is best for MBBS abroad?
There's no universally "best" country โ€” there are universities with strong, verifiable FMGE outcomes and universities with marketing budgets. We evaluate by university, not country: FMGE pass rates of its Indian graduates, FMG-regulation compliance, total real cost, safety and living conditions, and (for the US pathway) ECFMG sponsorship status. Ask us about any specific university and we'll give you a straight answer.
Is NEET required for MBBS abroad too?
Yes. NEET qualification (not a high rank โ€” just qualifying) is mandatory for any Indian student to study medicine abroad and later register in India. An agent who says NEET isn't needed is telling you the degree won't be valid in India.

Your passport to global education.

NEET UG Predictor exists for one reason: no student should lose a medical seat they earned because nobody explained the system to them.

Our story

Every counselling season, the pattern repeats. A student earns a rank through two years of relentless preparation โ€” and then loses their best possible seat in a two-week window, to a badly ordered choice list, a missed upgradation, or a certificate in the wrong format. The information to prevent this exists, scattered across official portals, PDFs, and notification pages. What families lack isn't intelligence โ€” it's a translator.

NEET UG Predictor was built to be that translator. We turn three years of official closing-rank data into predictors anyone can use, official notifications into plain-language alerts, and counselling rules into strategy a family can act on. When the right answer is a government seat in your home state, we'll fight for it with you. When the honest answer is that MBBS abroad fits your rank and budget better, we'll say that too โ€” and guide the whole journey.

Values

What we stand for

Data over opinion

Every college recommendation traces back to real closing ranks, official seat matrices, and verified fees โ€” not "reputation" or hearsay.

Honesty over commission

We tell families when a college is a poor choice, when a rank can't reach a dream seat, and when a cheaper path is the smarter one. Recommendations are never for sale.

The student's budget is the budget

We plan within what a family can actually afford โ€” including loan realities โ€” not what maximises anyone's fee.

Every deadline, every round

Counselling is unforgiving of missed windows. Our alerts and round-wise support exist so no family we work with ever hears "the window closed yesterday."
